NEW FOR SEASON 2025/26
The 2025/26 Football Season is nearly upon us and we have exciting news. At the end of the 2024/25 season I began to think about motivation and recognition for our young footballers. We have always promoted several key messages in our near 20 years of operation, some of which I will list below;
'To inspire every Rising Star'
'Lifelong participants of the game'
'Person and Player'
With this in mind and having observed thousands of sessions in the previous season, I thought that while we do recognise and celebrate the behaviours that build the foundations of the rounded footballer, could we incentivise, motivate, reward and recognise the positive behaviour in a more meaningful and memorable way.
I reflected on something we did in our early operation of awarding a 'Star of a session' which gave the students a Rising Star badge to sew onto their uniform. This was incredibly popular and I am not sure why we stopped.
With the idea to expand and improve on the past and considering the incorporation of gamification, which has proven to be successful in student engagement we have created for the upcoming season,
𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬
We will focus on our core values that bring to life the vision we have for our students. Students will strive to showcase each value within their football and will be recognised for this by being awarded the Rising Star values badges.
If a player has achieved all the badges during the year, they will receive the season's '𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐃𝐆𝐄'.
